St. Paul’s Lutheran Church - 1905 Church Commemorative Displays
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
Our task was to create an artful display of artifacts and photos from the 1905 church to commemorate the historic building that was officially taken down earlier this year.
• Illuminated Stained Glass Windows
• Illuminated Historic Light Fixtures
• Brass Lettering & Hardware
• Historic Cornerstone Time Capsule Artifacts
• Wood Artifacts from Interior
• Historic & Modern Photographs: Combination of Wrapped Canvas and Acrylic Mounted
• Clear Acrylic Text Panels
It was truly an honor to be a part of this project for St. Paul's. Throughout this process, one church member captured the heart of this project with one sentence: "To help us celebrate our spiritual past and ask God's blessings on our ministry in the future." Each of the four pieces consists of a combination of stained glass windows, high-quality photos taken of the church's interior and exterior, historic photos from members of the church as well as many other artifacts and light fixtures. Three displays have an integrated text panel, featuring excerpts from the last sermon preached in the church, details about the building itself and a history of the church as a whole.
A lot of consideration and care went into each piece. From the meticulous engineering to the careful composition of the artifacts, every decision was made to honor the legacy that the church has left the members of St. Paul’s. We hope these displays are enjoyed by all members of St. Paul's for many years to come.
